Scratch made support for a FUBAR battle!

Hi!

I'm currently planning a couple of games: the first is a skirmish "adventure" using 2HW rules (Chain Reaction or Nuts) and the other one is a big battle runned by FUBAR.
For this second game I'm putting together some nasty things...
I think to Rebel Minis Sahadeens as wasteland nomad rebels fighting a war againts a well organized force, so I created from scratches this HUGE Tank/APC as a fearsome and rusty transport/attack vehicle.

I'd like to create for them some garbage made vehicles... and robots! These are old minis from Epic 40k:

Below you can see my Sahadeens taking advantage from the cover of their (HUGE!!!) megatank and killerbots...
Ecco i miei Sahadeens (in Italiano sarà "Saladini"?

...as well as Snipers scouting the wastes to advise for troubles in sight!

Hi,

I noted I never posted anything about my small forces of soft plastic 1/72 (20mm) figures I was using some time ago. They're all from the very inexpansive plastic sets made by Caesar, Rewell, Italeri and are all modern troopers (USA soldiers/German police) converted just a minimum to give them a bit of a Sci-Fi feeling.
If anyone is interested I will post more -have something here and there...-

Incoming.... Bugs!!!

Hi all,

Finally I've found some time to post a couple of pics of the Bugs force I'm currently working on. My idea is to put together a number of small, medium and large sized beasts to engage battle with 15mm forces -which benefit of some reinforcement from GZG- using tiles made from Shuffler for Space Hulk like games (see my previus post).

I'm waiting also for some GW Hormagaunts which I think will look great with my Rackham monsters. Kind of brood "big ones".
Below some pics of what I started with:

Sotto trovate qualche foto:

They're coming! The brain bug is a genestealer from the old Star Quest game, without his arms.
Arrivano!

I have rebased/repainted all Rackham bugs, still the decoration quality was very high...

Fino all'ultimo!

Paper sci-fi dungeons and buildings

Hi all,

time to post the 2nd gift I received from Dani: a combo from Paper Make iT !
PMiT creates and delivers quality paper terrain items for wargamers and collectors and shows a nice and comprehensive list of products.
What I had from Dani is their software "Shuffler" and the 3d set "Pillboxes and Corridors".

About the first, it lets you create in minutes a specific and detailed board or environment for your games and print it out already scaled up for 28mm, 20mm, 15mm or 10mm minis.

the quality of what you can build with a minimum effort is set on very high standards: simply dragging and dropping tiles and elements in Shuffler's interface you are able to rotate them, change their size, add FX like water effects, fog, dirt...

I especially appreciate the possibility to use this software to fastly set up rooms and corridors for modern/sci-fi dungeons; below is what I built up in a couple of minutes:

this was obtained from a single Shuffler screen. Below are some closeups:
Ora alcuni dettagli:

On the other hand, Pillboxes and Corridors is a very nice modular 3d set: you can print it in the scale you want to play and set up from a couple of rooms to a complete sci-fi base with interiors!
And you can also modify every component adding doors, text and FX!
Did I mention the buildings have full interior details? :))

below is what -Dani, who is far better than me in all jobs requiring some patience- built from a single set:

My overall opinion about PMiT is not just good, but enthusiastic: they actually solved me the problem of finding ready to use quality terrain with a nice, versatile and funny to use product!

Andrea

My new miniature display!

Hi all,

I received from my patient gf a very nice gift for my birthday: a brand new miniature display... all made by her with her own hands!
As I'm usually not able to glue together a couple of plastic kit components without making a mess, I'm still asking her how she made it...

I had a bad light for taking pictures, I know they're ugly...

And that's not all. She gave me another nice "miniatures themed" gift...
What? You'll see on my next post!

Cheers,
Andrea

Urban Shock troopers

Hi all,

Here comes my first six Augmented Troopers from CMG , in urban camo!
With heavy assault rifles, a couple of shoulder mounted grenade launchers and the ability to face heavy enemy firepower, they are supposed to help my urban Light Recons when in trouble on the battlefield.
The models themselves are great as all the ones coming from the above Company (and I have six left to paint!)

The first one, made to have a preview color scheme.

Simple urban ruins

Hello and happy new year!

This very short post to share some simple ruined buildings I’m putting together from old business cards. My intention is to add more and larger buildings and a couple of industrial settlements and to run a “WW2 with some sci fi” scenario using NUTS!

At the moment I populated them with my ARC Fleet Light Recons and Sahadeens to take some pictures!

Buon anno!

I will need to put a couple of roads...

with some minis...

closeups..

Hope to be able to post more soon,
Cheers,

Andrea
