YESSSS!
My -patient- girlfriend told me (with Skype because I'm on b-travelling) that I received today my Sahadeen warriors from Rebel Minis (http://www.rebelminis.com/sahadeenarmy.html )!
I look forward to see them... I will soon post pictures,
Cheers,
Andrea

Shacks -wip-
Hi,
I'm slowly keeping on building and painting my terrain pcs for the game to come...
Here are some new pics, hope to finish these buildings quite soon!
The paint job is kind of quick-and-dirty but I like it enough,
cheers,
Andrea

barricades -wip-
Hello,
here's some new stuff for the insurgents to come! It's just a very cheap die cast model with some "stuff" added, but I think it has a good post-apocalyptic feel after all...
Cheers,
Andrea

Rules that rule
Hi!
the main thing I've been thinking about when I started getting interested in 15mm (but it was the same with other scales too) has been to find good rules to play with.
I appreciate systems in which every mini has his own opportunity to be the hero of the game and all miniatures are based individually. Said that, I found the best resources are on the web.
I'm a fan of Ed's Two Hour Wargames rulesets (http://www.angelfire.com/az3/twohourwargames/index.html ), that are completely different from any system I had the opportunity to to try: in Ed's games every action your mini do corresponds to a reaction from the other side... and the result is really an "alive" table!
I playtested a bit Chain Reaction 3, free on THW website, and found it very versatile. I'm planning a battle with some friends using the the scenario proposed at the end of the rulebook... another innovative aspect is that you can also play same side!
About miniatures, the battle proposed as sample from CR3 is "regular troopers vs insurgents"... my Light Recon squads look forward to act as regulars... while I already ordered -with some help from my very patient girlfriend- the fantastic Sahadeen warriors from Rebel Minis (http://www.rebelminis.com/sahadeenarmy.html ) to take the role of insurgents!
I'll update about the project and post pics asap!
Cheers,
Andrea

Marsh environment - Work in Progress
Just to add some photos.. here are some terrain pieces I'm working on for my Light Recon... putrid water obstacles, a fallen Gundam (!), and a couple of shacks, inspired by the new buildings from GZG (http://www.gtns.co.uk/store1/commerce.cgi?product=SG15B&exact_match=on&cart_id=4288962.11782).
I will update with the final version as soon as it will be ready!
Cheers,
Andrea
Welcome!
Welcome friend, and do not worry about the title, I was just looking for something fun for a miniature wargaming blog and I remembered the title of the nice movie "No man's Land".
Indeed, this is supposed to be the space where I will share pics and comments about my passion - just a bit nerdy- for wargaming.
I will not post anything about historical wargaming; my main interest is in Sci-Fi. In the last times, I have been especially interested in 15mm Sci fi...
Especially because of these amazing blogs:
http://dropshiphorizon.blogspot.com/
http://www.miniaturereview.com/
There's something really good in the way this niche of the market is growing day by day... something that remember me when I started with 28mm, the hobby was young, the Rogue Trader suggested to "build your vehicles from scratches", the grass was greener and so on.
I have ordered some ARC Fleet Light Recon Trooper from Critical Mass Games (http://www.criticalmassgames.com/) and found them AMAZING.
So... Let's get the party started! :)))
Cheers,
Andrea
